and the guy at the pickup area asked Anna what she was there for, and
she says "I'm here for the BIG-ASS TV!"

I thought it was hilarious. So did the guy at the pickup counter. Guess you had to be there

No more Berwyn Heights.. we're moving to a nice place in Columbia.

Other than that, not a whole lot going on.

Just continuing to write the ms2 (car stuff) code, and playing Final Fantasy XII whenever I can (very addictive).

Work is nuts as usual, I've been working 10 hr days or more for a while
now, and have been given some pretty big projects (which I can't really
give any details for).

We
shipped our first two units last friday, and we're waiting for the
remaining 8 customers to pay the rest of what they owe.
Nothing really new going on, Julian,
me, Theo and Jason (Garel, not Mao) are in the process of getting our
ECU business going, I'm still working at Sourcefire (and am extremely
busy here, which is what I wanted).

I can't really think of anything else new....
I was working in suitland for about 2.5 months, and I was bored almost as bad as at the job before that... The new job is more of a jack-of-all-trades developer job. I have to do Makefile stuff, spec-file stuff (building rpms), shell scripting, perl scripting, a little bit of C programming, etc... so I'm doing a bit of everything ... perfect for reducing boredom.

Monday, June 20, 2005

Started the new job About 2 weeks ago. I love it. I'm working for a company called SourceFire. We build IDS software (for geeks, the founder of the company is the original author of "Snort")

Sourcefire
Snort

Monday, May 16, 2005

nothing big going on... I start the welding class tomorrow.. it should
be interesting to learn how to weld.... and learning to weld
should allow me to be able to fix/build just about anything I need for
the car. The only thing that sucks about the class is that it's in
manassas, VA, and I'm working all the way on the other side of the
beltway in suitland. It should be interesting trying to get there
tomorrow.
week of work at my new job, which is going OK. I'm busy a lot of the
time, but the work isn't that hard. (I actually enjoy when the work is
hard... because then the day goes by faster trying to figure out how to
fix whatever problem I'm having). Anyway, I'll finally be getting
paid for the first time too... I'm looking forward to that

I'm going to Formula D in New Jersey, and one of my house mates
(Brandon) has an extra ticket... If he doesn't find anyone to take it,
someone else can have it, so if anyone is reading this and wants to go,
let me know.
I got the new job. I'll be working for a company called adnet
systems. They paid me pretty much what I wanted, and the work looks
interesting too. I'll be subcontracted out to NOAA (National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration) doing some *nix administration.

So I put in my 2 weeks notice at my current job... both bosses were
sorry to see me go, but since I'd already made up my mind about
leaving, they didn't say much.
